The
new Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006 require (amongst
other things) that ALL organisations preparing, cooking or
serving food to have carried out and be implementing a documented
food safety management system based on HACCP principles.
Do
you know what you need to do to comply with the law?
There
are two main methods of complying with the above legislation:
- The
Food Business Operator can create a food management system
themselves or get a consultant to create a suitable system
for them to implement at their business.
OR
- The
Food Standards Agency has produced a suitable system for
small and medium sized businesses to use known as “Safer
Food Better Business”. (“SFBB”)
Most
Local Authorities advocate the use of the SFBB pack in small
and medium sized businesses (it is not suitable for larger
businesses) because it provides a simple, effective method
for satisfying the legislation and is tailored to your business.
We
can work with you at your premises to develop your system
and help you comply with the new regulations, in a documented
format.
